The SAL combiner has an isolation choke built into it where the feedline comes in. But if your in a heavy BCB area you may want to have one at the shack end as well. Jay Terleski Array Solutions 214 9

Shared Apex Loop over rocky ground
Mel the SAL is ground independent, so that's a very good thing in your case. There are SALs on top of buildings (Kabul for instance) and in the Rocky mountains. It will work fine. What it doesn't like

15VDC vx. 12.6VDC Power Supply
You really want to run the 15V DC supply but 12.6V should work but your drop is excessive. Please do open up any splices and replace them. I have maybe a 3V drop with a 600 ft run to my SAL. Jay Terle

RG-6 to LMR-600
A mismatch will cause an SWR issue which will allow the coax to to radiate / pick up RF. Why not just use RG-6. Its cheap, it can have quad shielding, direct bury, etc I run over 600 feet to my SAL-30

RG-6 to LMR-600
The mismatch may cause pickup from the shield, and an UNUN will only short out the DC voltage and data we send via the coax. Stick with RG6. Jay, WX0B Jay Terleski Array Solutions 214 954 7140
